Radiographic Testing Level 1
CONTENT
The training course communicates basic know-how and skills in respect of radiographic testing with X-rays and gamma rays. Via presentation of the properties of ionizing radiation, knowledge of the attenuation performance of materials is communicated along with the expedient selection of an energy source. The geometrical recording conditions and the selection of films and providing the prerequisites that enable the factors impacting on the quality of the images to be reviewed. At the end of the training course you can determine the image quality of various test pieces.

Radiographic Testing Level 2
CONTENT
This two-week training course communicates advanced know-how and skills with regard to radiographic testing. Candidates’ basic knowledge is reinforced, the meaning of terms such as build-up factor, image quality and test sensitivity is dealt with in a hands-on fashion, and product-related and standards-related know-how relating to the industrial sectors concerned is communicated. Special focal points: film evaluation under practical conditions, inspection planning including the drafting of instructions and verification of test results. The training course includes a 4-day practical training course.

Ultrasonic Testing Level 1
CONTENT
The training course communicates basic know-how and skills with regard to the ultrasonic inspection of weld seams, castings and wrought products. Basic inspection techniques such as use of perpendicular and oblique wave incidence and contact and immersion techniques are explained and practiced. The calibration of ultrasonic systems by means of calibration blocks forms the basis of the localization and description of reflectors, which is the aim of this Level 1 training course.

Ultrasonic Testing Level 2
CONTENT
The Level 2 training provides a widening of your knowledge and routines regarding the ultrasonic testing method. New themes are also presented: an introduction of the DGS method is made and the parameters, which influence the inspection results or the testability itself are presented as well. Special knowledge concerning the usage and interpretation of standards, examination specifications and other regulations from various industry sectors are also commentated.

PARTICIPANTS AND CONDITIONS
This training course addresses persons with testing experience, general knowledge of ultrasonic testing at Level 2 (EN ISO 9712) and a valid UT Level 2 certificate based on EN ISO 9712.
Ultrasonic Wall-Thickness Measurement
CONTENT
Wall-thickness measurements are often used for maintenance tasks performed on pipelines and in ships. For instance, they serve to detect general erosive corrosion or selective corrosion, cavitation or erosion. Staff carrying out these tasks often have sound knowledge of how to assess the findings thus brought to light without having any further skills or knowledge of ultrasonic testing. The candidate’s ability to carry out and evaluate wall-thickness measurements can be confirmed with a limited UT1 (EN ISO 9712) certificate (“slimmed-down” examination with 30 written questions and 1 test specimen). The training course can be shortened to 3 days and restricted to one area of application (e.g. ship maintenance or the production of castings); however, in that case it will not be certifiable under EN ISO 9712.

Magnetic Particle Testing Level 1+2
CONTENT
This training course can be booked for Level 1 and Level 2 either separately or in combination. The individual magnetization methods and the principles behind magnetization and demagnetization will be dealt with in the training course. Particular importance will be attached to process monitoring and checks on inspection equipment. Evaluation techniques typically used in the various industrial sectors will be presented along with the bodies of standards currently applicable.

If courses at Levels 1+2 are pursued simultaneously, the candidate must furnish proof of 4 weeks’ professional experience. For engineers with a graduate diploma recognized in Germany, the training course can be shortened by the first 2 days.

Visual Testing Level 1+2
CONTENT
This training course can be booked for Level 1 and Level 2 either separately or in combination. In the Level 1 training course you will find out what optical radiation is and how it can be expediently used for fault detection, and shape or surface inspection. The operating techniques of visual testing (direct/indirect, local/overview) and the fundamentals of endoscopy are presented by means of examples of practical applications. In the Level 2 training course we deal with a standard list of fault categories and develop evaluation techniques for pipe mills, foundries and welding shops based on bodies of standards.

WELDING PROCEDURE SPECIFICATIONS (WPS)

Welding Procedures are performed for all Welder Qualification Tests. Welder qualification tests are covered by EN 4872, EN 287:2004, and EN ISO 9606-2:2004 Aluminum Alloys.

The layouts of Welding Procedures are to EN ISO 15606 (07-09-13-14).

When Welding Procedure Approval is required, EN ISO 15614 or PED approval, arrangements can be made with our clients for witnessing and testing and the issue of all certification.
